Do period panties work for heavy flows?

Yes! Our super heavy absorbency styles, the Hip Hugger, Seamless Hip Hugger, and Lace Hipster, are perfect for your heaviest days. They each absorb up to 6 pads of blood comfortably.

Do they absorb clots?

The fluid from the clots gets absorbed, and any tissues that remain on top can be simply wiped off with toilet paper when you use the toilet. Rest be assured, it won’t cause any wetness or discomfort!

How does a period panty work?

All our period panties have our signature 4-layer padding, constructed with high-quality fabrics that not only absorb & contain your flow, but also keep you feeling dry! All without needing to pair with pads/ tampons or a cup.

How much fluid can it absorb?

We have 3 different absorbency levels:

Medium - absorbs up to 2 pads (12ml) of fluid
Heavy - absorbs up to 4 pads (25ml) of fluid
Super Heavy - absorbs up to 6 pads (40ml) of fluid

Does it feel damp or uncomfortable after absorbing blood?

You might feel a brief dampness after using the toilet and pulling your underwear back up—this fades in a few seconds as the fabric wicks moisture. If it starts to feel persistently damp or heavy, it’s time to change.

I have always had a big problem with sanitary pads, it made my period so uncomfortable that I would get shivers just at the thought that my periods are coming. Since I have shifted to period undies I feel soo freaking comfortable. Thankyou soo muchh Nushu team for making suchh good products.

When I first saw the underwear I was skeptical it would be able to hold blood or prevent leaks. Well, I had it on for 22 hours with ZERO LEAKS. It's comfortable, super easy to wash, extremely convenient because you don't have to undergo the hassle of changing and disposing pads, easier on the wallet in the longer term and great for the environment.

I have an extremely (!) heavy flow for the first two days. I bought the nushu heavy absorbency hip hugger thinking I might need to use a cup as well. To my pleasant surprise I could wear the underwear for 10 hours without a cup. It was so comfortable and dry throughout. I especially like the soft fabric used, it just feels like I'm wearing a normal pair of underpants, dare I say even more comfortable! Other brands which I've tried in the past feel like I'm wearing some sort steel military garment to prepare for an energetic battle, which is most definitely not how I feel on my periods. 😂 Go for it ! you won't be disappointed.

They fit is perfect and the heavy flow panty lasts me the entire day even on days 1 and 2. Completely switched to these!
