How To Wash
1. Rinse
After your full day of use, rinse your underwear thoroughly in running water.
You’ll know all the blood is out when the water runs clear.
Pro tip: Rinse it while you shower to save time and water!
2. WASH
Once thoroughly rinsed, machine wash or hand wash your Nushu underwear with detergent.
3. DRY
Hang dry and reuse! (DO NOT put it in the dryer)

HOW DOES A PERIOD PANTY WORK?
All our period panties have a 4-layer absorbency core, constructed with high-quality fabrics that not only absorb & contain your flow, but also keep you feeling dry! All without needing to pair with pads/ tampons or a cup.

HOW DO I WASH IT?
All it takes is an initial rinse, followed by regular detergent wash in the machine or by hand. Hang dry and re-use! Watch the video here.
DOES IT WORK FOR HEAVY FLOWS?
Yes! Our super heavy absorbency styles, the Hip Hugger & Lace Hipster, are perfect for your heaviest days. They each absorb up to 6 pads of blood comfortably.
HOW MUCH FLUID CAN IT ABSORB?
We have 3 different absorbency levels:
- Medium - absorbs up to 2 pads (12ml) of fluid
- Heavy - absorbs up to 4 pads (26ml) of fluid
- Super Heavy - absorbs up to 6 pads (40ml) of fluid

WILL I SMELL IF I WEAR A PERIOD UNDERWEAR?
When you use the toilet and the underwear is exposed in front of you, then yes, you will recognise the odour. But since the menstrual panty is underneath your clothes - the smell doesn't perspire.
CAN I EXCHANGE/RETURN IT?
Due to hygiene concerns, only sealed, unopened pieces qualify for exchange/refund requests. Any order-related requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery, along with images of sealed pieces. Please refer to our refund policy for more detailed info.
CAN TEENAGE GIRLS WEAR THEM?
Yes! They're super comfortable & leak-proof for long school-hours. Several moms purchase Nushu period underwear for their teenage daughters & they're super happy with the experience!
DO THEY ABSORB CLOTS?
The fluid from the clots gets absorbed, and any tissues that remain on top can be simply wiped off with a tissue when you use the toilet. Rest be assured, it won’t cause any wetness or discomfort!
HOW LONG CAN I WEAR A PERIOD PANTY?
That would depend on the style & heaviness of your flow. Most customers wear it for anywhere between 8-24 hours.
Our absorbency levels are as follows:
- Super-heavy absorbency: Up to 6 pads (for your heaviest days)
- Heavy absorbency: Up to 4 pads (for medium-heavy days)
- Medium absorbency: Up to 2 pads (for light flow)
HOW MANY PERIOD UNDERWEARS DO I NEED?
We suggest buying at least 3 pairs of heavy to super heavy absorbency levels to ensure a smooth rotation throughout your cycle.
CAN I USE A PERIOD PANTY FOR POSTPARTUM BLEEDING?
Absolutely! Several new moms have tried it for postpartum & it works perfectly. Our period panties are super soft, much more comfortable than pads & built to absorb the heaviest of flows!
We recommend trying the Hip Hugger, one of our heaviest absorbency styles & the bestseller.
CAN I WEAR THESE THROUGH THE NIGHT?
"Yes! If your flow is heavier at night then we suggest you use our Hip Hugger or Lace Bikini as these styles have absorbent padding that extends all the way back to the waist.
If your flow is lighter, you should be able to manage with any of the styles without leaking! "

DO I NEED A PAD WITH THE PERIOD PANTY?
Nope! Our 4-Layer Absorbecy core ensures you can wear the underwear by itself without leaking. Just make sure you are wearing the right absorbency period panty based on your flow.
CAN THEY BE USED FOR BLADDER LEAKS?
Yes, they can be used to manage mild incontinence, but not suitable for a full urine discharge.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT ABSORBENCY?
We have period panties in 3 absorbency levels to cater to the heaviest of flows!
